Burn .gi to 80min CD?

I was wondering if there is any way possible to burn a relatively small .gi file (699mb) to an 80min CD without having to rip it. If not, what should I do to get this .gi file burned, as I don't have a DVD writer. Is ripping it my only option? Thanks in advance.

Hi mibx86, Welcome to our forum! :cool:

i think *gi is not only for DVD images, it could be a CD image too;
I thought RecordNow and InstantCopy can burn it to CDR. Did you tried it?
One other option would be to mount it in DaemonTools.

Duracell is correct. .gi stands for global image, and could be for either. However, if the image is of a CD, it couldn't be burned to a DVD, and vice versa. For instance, you couldn't burn an audio CD image to a DVD, just as you couldn't burn a SVCD image to a DVD. Even if the files were there, they wouldn't function properly. So, it really depends on what the global image is of.
