Good move... If you print a lot of black text, and preview images in mono, then a Laser printer will pay for itself, compared to the Inkjet's appetite for "liquid gold". On cartridge head printers, you can only get refills/remanufactures and not clone carts, and the performance can be variable - if you refill your own, don't run them to bone dry, as it can kill the head or at least make re-priming a nightmare.
You can even save money on refilled laser cartridges, as the supposedly "one-time" drum in an OPC cartridge will normally stand at least one more fill, if it hasn't actually been damaged.
PS. Did you know one HP Inkjet model actually has region-coded supplies?
Several models have date coding that prevents you using an expired cartridge.
