Got cable broadband from telewest/blueyonder no probs so far.BT offer it too but there prices are just to high.

I type my postcode into the btopenworld site and get a reply back - where ???

There ain't enough cable to stretch this far North, bummer

get satellite - that *should* reach

when it comes to cable there isnt much of a choice it depends who is your local cable supplier - in my case its telewest/blueyonder - im glad because ntl suck and they are pratically bankrupt anyways.

but having said that homechoice doe adsl i think - only if you go with with their tv service though - buts its capped they say to achieve uniform speeds over the network.

btopenworld - yikes!

aol uk does broad band but at 49.99 i think, its more than the others. but aol are reliable though.

Satellite is an option, once the builders are finished, it's against my covenants to have more than 1 dish installed.
2 way satellite would be nice, but at £400 a month for unlimited transfers it's way too much. It would be nice to be able to return some of the favours I've received by being able to upload, but it's looking like Europe on Line for me, one way only at 15 euros a month.

Pipex aint bad so far

downloads are averaging 50-60K very rarely peaks over 80K
uploads - max data transfer i reashed was 29KBps

unfortunately i havnt tested online gaming - still need to configure somethings with the router :(

Im up in the north-east and i use NTL, they give you 512/128 for £20 a month.
Ive never had any problems, its always been sweet service!

I get around 73kb/s down and 14.3kb/s up

but it might be faster for me because im only 8min away from they location
