If anyone can help I would appreciate the input. I have a AMD 2 GHZ machine with 512 MB on board FS DDR Bus and an MSI FX 5200 that has 128mb DDR it uses an AGP 8x Slot. I have a Ricoh MP7040A Burner (yeah I know it's slow). Here is the problem I am bringing in analog movies from a hi8 camcorder through a Composite slot on the video card. During capturing the video looks good but when I look at the clips every 6 seconds a Blank gray box appears in the middle of the video. It lasts around 6 or 7 seconds then dissappears. Then 6 seconds later it's back. I have tried adjusting frame rates and speeds but they all have the same effect. This occurs using Microsoft movie maker, intervideo win DVD creater plus, and virtual dub. My gut feeling is it is a buffer issue, but I don't know how to adjust. Most of the clips are short (5 minutes or less) so it shouldn't be running out of memory, I'm at a loss. Thanks for any help.
