problem is i cant figure out how to make 16:9 dvd movie fit on the tv without any borders. i author the movie with maestro and when i playd the movie i have these HUGE black borders. i selected aspect ration to be 16:9 and 4:3 and they both give same result. i dont get this. why when u play an original dvd the movie covers the whole screen but ripd ones are 16:9?? can anyone help me make it cover the whole screen?

when the movie is 16:9, there's nothing u can do about having the black borders on a 4:3 tv--the movie will either be 16:9 anamorphic (where the player will add the black borders for u), or it will be 4:3 with black borders encoded into the video. the only time the movie is fullscreen is when the movie itself is 4:3.
i'm guessing u're not ripping the 4:3 version of the movie, which is what u want.
