black and blue ram slots??..

i have a motherboard chaintech vnf4 vnf4/ultra zenith ve....it has black and blue ram slots on it....it says it supports dual channel so i was wondering where do i put the ram in for it to activate dual channel??..my ram slots are configured as....

ddr1 = black
ddr2 = black
ddr3 = blue
ddr4 = blue

does it matter where i put the ram in whatever slots??..what is the reason for color coding it??..

Chaintech decided to pair the memory slots in an unorthidox configuration. Where most boards require you to use slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 for dual channel performance, Chaintech recommends you use only slots 1 and 2! They recommend against you using any other configuration, including the use of all four memory slot

I guess slots 1 and 2 are the blue ones
