Can someone link me to a good tutorial or tell me here how to take the .bin and .cue files i just downloaded and turn them into a DVD? Thanks!

Frist please don't post the same question 3 times in different forums. Next I deleted your other post. Also Nero sucks but if you want to use it thats up to you. In Nero Burning ROM under Recorder choice Burn Image Then choice your file.
Other wise if you want to use a better program try Alcohol 120%.
Good luck. :)

Well, the guy wanna burn bin&cue to dvd pcguy..So you cant do burn image as cue and bin is a cd image-only-if im not a mistaken??..If you got a bin&cue and its a movie, thats probably s(vcd) so extract a mpeg with isobuster-freeware for example and go from there :)
When you got mpeg on your hd everything is easy-just read one of tuts about conversion mpeg to dvd-must be something in a video section

One of my forum members asked the same question and here is the answer I gave him:

The following is a list of software that you will need to convert the movies on the server to DVD:

VCDGear-www.vcdgear.com

AVI MPEG RM WMV Joiner-www.boilsoft.com

Copy to DVD-www.vso-software.fr

WinAVI Video Converter-www.winavi.com

1. Take VCDGear and convert the cue/bins to mpg.
(you can actually use the rar to bin/cue to mpg batch built in and it will uncompress the rars and then convert the bin to mpg.) (under 4 mintes for both files)

2. Now take the avi-mpeg joiner and join the two mpg files together. (about 2 minutes)

3. This step is what takes the time WinAVI Converter. Take the large mpg file that you made with the AVI-Mpeg joiner and convert it to DVD format. (usually under 3 hours). I let it convert while I am asleep.

4. Now you can use Copy to DVD or whatever you want to burn the files onto a dvd that can be played in most players.

I have found in some cases that a (s)VCD when converted looks better on DVD than it did on CD.

also for converting Divx/Xvids here is what I do:

This is a short tut on how I converted an AVI to DVD in under 2 hours.

First I loaded all the codecs from the ACE Mega pack.

Then I took the AVI called Zebra Lounge (Wife Swapping movie) and used WinAVI to convert it to DVD format (1hr 20 minutes).

Now I used Copy2DVD to burn it. (since the files that winavi made are on the hard drive in DVD format.

Then I burnt it onto a DVDrw (15 minutes at 4x).

Tested it in my Mintec and Apex Players to verify that it encoded correctly.
(it did).

Now I burn it onto a regular DVD-R and put a Label on and I am done. (another 15 minutes).

Total time= 1hr 50 minutes.

I hope that this helps.

Extract mpeg with isobuster and use any proggy to make a dvd like dvd santa, pegasus dvd author..whatever.. :)

I wonder how he made out?? But comsidering he hasn't been on since 10-11-2004 18:10 we may never know.:(

I am sorry, but burning most bin/cue images on DVD is quite simply not possible:
DVD media doesn't support the contained filesystem.
You will only succeed if the .cue file describes a single MODE1/2048 data track- that is equivalent to .ISO
How did he made it? Possibly by slotting in a CD-R... :p

Scarecrow I can see that you dont know what your talking about. Since a bin file is nothing more than an mpeg file and you can merge the two files together and then convert the remaining merged files into DVd format. In fact if you had followed what I posted you can take VCD Gear and convert the bin to mpeg and then join the two. I have over 241 movies in bin/cue format and as of this day I have converted over 1/2 to DVd format and they play just fine in my standalone DVD player.

it was a statement just like what you made that made me prove the guy was wrong.

Actually a BIN file is a CD image, it can contain anything, including mpeg files, which you would need to extract before merging.

scarecrow's point was that as a general rule you can't just burn the BIN/CUE to DVD. Why would you want to anyway? It would be mostly empty and CDR's are still cheaper.

You are also correct though in the fact that it is possible to take one or more (S)VCD BIN/CUE's and convert them into something that can then be burnt as a DVD video. That is not the same as just burning them though.

A .bin file is an image/map of the PHYSICAL structure of a medium, whether you like it or not, and if the medium imaged is a CD then it cannot be burned to DVD medium (or harddisk, or memory flash, or...). Ripping an icon with a razor does not prove that the saint painted there is mortal, no matter if you think so or not... but anyway, thanks for your effort to enlighten us- it seems you have your very own view about what "proof" is, though.
