Best VCD Authoring Program ??????

Which VCD/SVCD authoring software can create CDs at maximum speed with no loss of quality from mpegs and avis on your hard drive.

I have a LiteOn 24102B burner and when I try to do the above
I get problems reading them on my Omni DVD player although burns made from my old Sony CRX145 10speed work.

I am currently using Nero 5.572 and TDK 16X and Imation 24X
blanks.......

Any suggestions would be appreciated................

The problem is not the authoring software (it will work at any speed), the problem lies with the burner.

I had an old Sony 8x burner and for VCD's burnt with Nero, NTI, Prassi & even EZCD Coaster Creator would only play in everything if burnt at 4x or less. At 8x, many DVD units would have problems playing them, particular the last part of the CDR. PSX units would not even see the CD!

With my new LiteOn 24x, I have not had any problem writting VCD's at 8x, 12x or 16x and all DVD units I've tried them in play them no probs. I have not even tried anything higher than 16x as there is very little time gain in burning so why push it to the limit.
