best prog for handycam to vcd or svcd

is there a progy that will allow me to copy my handy cam digi vidio footage to disc in vcd or svcd i have tried nero vision but the results are poor & i can`t get the sound working i have tried others that give an mpeg file but vcdeasy does not recodnise them for burning thank in adv

If you have a DV handycam with FireWire (1394), you can use Scenalyzer to capture to AVI, then convert with TMPGEnc or some higher-end product like Vegas Video 4, Adobe Premier, etc to SVCD MPG output. If TMPGEnc will recognize your AVI, it does a very good job. I have tried a Dazzle PCI MPG2 capture card to convert from VHS/8mm to SVCD, but sometimes the sound gets out of sync - not a problem if you have a DV camera.

Thanks for that but can i burn to cd not in dvd format i donot have dvd burner. is this prog good for 121 copy of dvd`s
