I had my share of crappy gamepads in the past, & struck gold w/ the MS sidewinder 10 button gamepad, today's model comes in usb version. Most games out there are preconfigured for the pad, and if not it is a snap to set up. The pad itself is nothing fancy, no force feedback or analog movement control ( those would be nice), but it gets the job done.

If u have PSone or PS2 dual shock game pads consider getting a USB or PARALLEL adaptor for the PC. Get the benefits of D-Pad Analogue Stick and Shock, i never did like the sidewinder series.
