Batch Processing in Instant Copy 8

Does anyone have a working method for getting batch processing to work with Instant Copy 8 (any version - I have the retail with the latest update but have tried it with the others) without losing the preset settings?

I have tried everything I can think of - using the latest ICHSE, using Pinnacle's own batch program, even entering the command lines themselves. Nothing seems to work. If you choose automatic, it disregards presets. If you use preset mode from ICHSE, Instant Copy opens and seems like it begins to process the file, and then inexplicably closes.

If anyone has a workaround, or if MadGuy could figure out a way to make the batch processing work in the next version of ICHSE, you would be my hero! Thanks!

Hi Bob!

sadly the not loading of the previously saved settings in IC is a known issue, though i thought they would have fixed it by now Apparently they didnt!

I havent experienced the issue with any inexplicably closes sofar, does this happen with any Title or only with a certain Disc ? And can you please provide the Info from the 'How to get support' menu in InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor? I will have some more tests on this, trying to reproduce this issue!

A while back I contacted German Pinnacle support about the IC8 batch processing problems. Here is the final reply:

Sehr geehrter Herr XXX,

nach Rückfragen in den entsprechenden Abteilungen, müssen wir Ihnen leider mitteilen das der Batch Processor eine "extra" Funktion, die allerdings wie auf unseren Webseiten angegeben, bei Problem von uns nicht supportet wird.
Bei Instant Copy 8 wird dieser nicht mehr unterstützt, bei Instant Copy 7 kann es manchmal zu Problemen kommen beim Einladen der einzelnen Einstellungen für die jeweiligen DVDs.

In short IC8 batch processing is broken and no longer supported.
