Backup software!!

If i got 1 hd,and 3 big folders there...Like music,appz and windows folders...For example music and appz folders are very deep--lots of subfolders...........And i got 30-40 gb in each of them...Like 30-40 gb of mp3s from different bands--and i make a backup with some proggy to cdr.......So now i hqave all backup of appz and music....I install windows again--put my music and appz back-and im adding some new music.....Couse i got a old backup of music----how to burn only new added music???Preffered way would be dos(ghost,acronis ti3)--so i can additionally compress it:) Cmon--need some good idea--beside buying a external hd!!!

I'd rather prefer making a backup with a windows application, because in the future I could always make a fresh backup of my somewhat altered files and spare just 1-2 new disks instead of 50.
There are lots of windows baqckup applications which store to CDR and/or DVDR, my personal preference is Nova Backup 7, as it is very reliable, can do full/incremental/differential backups, it's very light on resources, can use both CDR and DVDR and does not install any malicious CDR driver.
Needless to say in your case a DVD burner will do much better than CDRW.

Problem is that its not 1000 files in a row--they are in diffrent folders--goes up to 4-5 deep???How can i do???And general idea is like you say just burn additional few instaed of all again...As for dvd im considering it--waiting for that good one dual format for 199$

Well its easy when its one disc...start rnm,check that add only new files(or whatever is called??),but when i got more discs??Ok bud,gonna find that novastor and will be back!!

Installed novastor7..So i wanna burn one folder only(with few folders and mp3s inside and going like that 5-6 levels deep:) for test,its a 1.2 gb...Which method to select????After i will drop few mp3s somewhere and try to burn just that.....this options are confusing me??where the mouse is??which to select??

Those settings are fine for the first backup... whenever you want to make a backup in the future which will contain the same files, choose ïncremental" on backup type.

It worked!!!Thanks bud!!It did backup just files which i added in meantime...I know that rnm can do that--but on one disc only---this is a really pleasent surprise:) :) Btw,if i do a first full backup on one folder,and format a hd after,and wanna do backup of same that folder after--and in meantime i did again add some music to same folder,i should backup the novastor program logs and scripts folder--probably???Also,now when i finished i got a buffered folder and at bottom is a one file which shows around 220 kb..But when you check all folder--its a 220mb....Whats the story???Btw,thanks a lot!!!!Also,is it supposed to be slow like that???Nti backup is much faster---maybe thats why my backup was fu,,,d:D :D
