Hi all. I just got NTI BackupNow 2.5.4 and finally got it installed. The problem is that it seems very slow. I normally burn a 650mb data cd with Nero in about 6 or 7 mins with my Lite-On 12x burner. However, when burning an initial full backup of a couple of folders totaling about 620mb with BackupNow it takes 30 minutes. I tried disableing the verify function to speed it up, didnt help. I tried disabling compression and that didnt help, even in conjunction with disabling verify. So I went in with verify disabled, and compression still disabled and selected format 2 from the "cd drive properties" dialog in tools menu, which said it would speed it up, but then I got an error (something like error 5005) when the disk was finished. Im burning to cd-r and not cd-rw. Is backup software just inherently slow, or should I suspect BackupNow sucks or I have some other problem. Thanks for any advice or hints on this, or any other things (progs) I should try relating to backup software
PS: I have the latest firmware for my drive, and I already use Ghost for partition level disaster recovery. Thanks again.
