Backup a DVD9 movie to 1 DVDR, without losing menus or bonus footage?

Hmmm, I think I can follow that guide, but a buddy of mine says that he thinks that it's possible to make an exact backup of a DVD9 movie to one DVDR (he's not sure how, but he thought maybe by using Divx or some other sort of compression). He says that there was software to squeeze a dvd onto two CDRs, so why not onto 1 DVDR... can anyone clear this up for me?

ugh, and I'm like halfway through Doom9's guide (and stuck). Have you tried Doom's guide? If so, I'm stuck at the part that I need to frameserve. I've made a d2v file.

Anyway, thanks for posting. If I can't finish Doom's guide I'll try DVD2ONE.

Hmmm, I just read a bit about DVD2ONE... "There is a new king on the market called DVD2ONE. As far as I'm concerned unless you need menu's this is the way to go!"

I mentioned wanting an exact copy... I don't want to lose menus or bonus footage. I don't mind losing foreign language tracks or multiangle stuff, though
