i can burn to vcd format easily, any ripper pretty much will do that, but the way i understand it is there is a program that will let ur cd burner burn in dvd format, i dont know if its true or not but i have heard its out there, some people r trying to sell the name of the program but not the program itself, i was simply trying to get the name of this programso i can get it without having to pay jus to get the name of it
Usually found in SPAM email - NEVER deal with a spammer, never reply, and never BUY, and never trust "unsubscribe me" links - unless youknow that YOU chose to subscribe in the first place.
The most you can do with no DVD writer, is to convert to VCD/SVCD format (not DVD quality, but playable in most DVD players) - that is probably what most of those spammers are "selling", and it's often a collection of freeware and trialware with a half-baked frontend.
Check out the tutorial in the forum - and check out the price of DVD writers too .... now they cost what CD writers used to, CD writers cost what CD-ROMs used to, and CD-ROMs down to the price of a good floppy drive.

no this wasnt a spam email, i am not the britest guy around but brite enuf not to deal with email spammers 
where it came from actually was ebay when i was searching for a dvd burner, i seen it up for bids, but unlike someother people i'm too damn cheap to pay for a name of sumthin software maybe but not jus the name of it

Trust me if U want to burn a DVD U need a DVD Burner

additional here to POACHERS comments above.......IF YOU INTEND TO convert DVD'S to SVCD/VCD you need to have At least A DVD rom drive in your system or this is simply not possible to do as normal cdrom drives are incapable of reading the multi layered.hi-density DVD disk formats ! ...simple as that

i never said anything had to work and i never said evrything on ebay was legit,(which would be y i never bid on the item) i was simply wondering if there was such a thing, but i do know someone who has actually ripped a dvd with nothing more than a cdrom in his computer but it was done in vcd format. i dont know i took pc-guys comment wrong or not but it sounded insulting to mePC-GUY said:I guess because its on ebay its not a spammer and it has to work?

Yep,the guys are growing frustrated Johhny.We have binned a lot of posts regarding Scamware.A blank DVDR will not even be recognized in a cdburner.Dvdburners wouldn't be necessary anymore, if this was true.It's just physically impossible.

There are FAR too many people on ebay selling things like "How to get software cheap", or stuff that is FREE, like softmod drivers.
On the other hand, anyone who would buy a "New Folder" , is hopefully only playing along with the joke. EBAY is getting to BE a joke, unless they start clamping down - even if just on the basis of much of the garbage being placed in completely the wrong sections!
