Backing up ps2 games

after my mums friend broke my first ps2 game i asked her for a dvd burner and normal dvd drive so i could start making back ups. then i found out i needed a mod chip to use them so i got one of them to. Now i just got some new games and i tried to back them up but i couldnt.
I downloaded about 20 programs like dvd copy express and cd clone platinum and stuff but it all didnt work or was for movies.
could some one help me out?

I use RecordNowMax, but it is not free, but DVD Decypter is.

Ive Used Alcohol 120% v1.4.8.1005..

Make backup copies first time...

Your chip seems to be fine. Follow the advice the others gave you. They've said what I would've said.
