how do back up my copyrighted DVDs
i have a pioneer dvr-A04 p
i backed up one of my dvds but the second one says its copyright protected and it wont burn it
WHAT DO I DO
PLEASE HELP!!!!
i use nero and record now and i cant back this one up
do i need differant software??????? or cracks or something

Use a DVD ripper!!

Use a DVD ripper (such as smart ripper) to rip the dvd's data to your hd (if they are protected) and then copy with the usual way!

Get smartripper from _www.doom9.org my friend!

what do you mean burn normally????
make data dvd and drag video-ts file or some other way
i am using nero 5.5 9

i ripped the dvd using smart ripper
i did not use info edit as it was under 4.7 gig
then i created a DATA dvd and draged the video-ts ....
it wont play on my stand alone or xbox or ps2 dvd
should i have made a dvd video instead of making a data dvd ... using nero!!!!
please help or should i of used info edit even though it would still fit on one dvd??????

it works on power dvd?????

when i ripped men in black
i tried burning it and it said missing
VTS_17_0.IFO.............so i ripped that and then it said
missing
VTS_17_0.BUP.........so i ripped that
then it said missing % READING OR SOME CRAP
CAN THIS DVD BE COPIED
i can view thw 4 secters of DVD data (movie)

Before ripping a dvd, try and play it with a softwareplayer first, such as win dvd.
This can sometimes unlock certain files.
Maybe not the problem u r having though!

Also articles on what settings to use using what software,
Take a look (I just tried the link and couldnt get through), but it should work eventually
I copied a dvd to a rewritable DVD to see how it went and it worked fine on my PC. Have a friend trying it on his home DVD player. If ok will copy from DVD+RW to DVD+R and test again

dvd to dvd-rw/+rw in 30 minutes??

I use DVD decrypter to rip the DVD to a VIDEO_TS folder in the hard drive..
You use Instant CD/DVD 6.5 ( DVD UDF option) to burn it and thats's it....
Works with WinDVD in my PC and in my PIONEER DVD player.
All programs can be foun in this forum, otherwise PM me and i will upload them for you or give you the links.

I just ripped LOTR disk 1 to 2 dvd disks using SmartRipper (all files) and then IFOEdit to break it into 2 disks folders and recalculated the VTS. Burned as 2 DVD-UDF (not DVD Video) in Nero.

Goto vcdhelp.com and look under Tools for IFOEdit. The link there goes to some great tutorials!

every time i strip a dvd (after ripping using IFO edit)
i can never get the dvd to play again
i follow the guides but this always happens??
any tips or
strpping for dummies guides(so the will work after stripping)]

hey mate ... u should really read the TUTORIALS not only fly through .... cause if u did some research u would have found out that there r great guides @ doom9 ....btw also in this forum r some guides ....

btw. the answer to the questions .....

1.should i make a multisession ........ Do u want to create a Multisession project ?! no ... so don´t create one ....

2. why did u choose DVD DATA !? do u want to create a DVD DATA DISC or DVD VIDEO ?! SO create DVD VIDEO ?!

sorry maybe these answers don´t sound very gentle ...but this is really very basic stuff mates ... and don´t require an answer ...
