Avi to Svcd Size Issue

Hello!

I have several avi movie files on my hard drive that I would like to write to disc as a SVCD. I have purchased CCE Basic and have downloaded DVD2SVCD and followed the tutorial

http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=15298

The problem I am having is that when it creates 2 files from a 800mb avi file, the first file is 800mb and covers 18mins of the film and then the second file is 3gb and 1hr long.

When I downloaded the test version of CCE and converted the file it completed it correctly - now that I have CCE Basic (full version) I am having problems, even though the same file is being used!

Any ideas anybody???

Thank you in anticipation of your help!

I have never used the CCE basic, either demo or retail nor do I know of anyone how has to be honest. But I'm sure I have read somewhere that DVD2SVCD does not suport CCE Basic.

However, in your folder where dvd2svcd dumped all its files, there would be an Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv file, how big was this file ? Also, can you load one of the MPG files into Bitrate Viewer ( http://www.tecoltd.com/bitratev.htm ) and report here the File Type, Resolution, etc data it finds on the file.

Hi Chickenman,

Have converted from CCE Basic to the standard version and am happily and successfully converting. Thanks for your time!
