Also I was wondering if yall knew about the "List out of bounds (3)" error with DVD2SVCD when you try and get the movie info and stuff.

Maybe a bit more memory than 128meg would help, thats very low for running XP.

What VIDEO codec have you installed on your system?

The "List out of bounds (3)" error with DVD2SVCD is due to IMDB.com changing their data base structure, yet again. I believe it will be fixed in next release but the front cover cannot be collected, info only.

yes i know that is low ram for XP i tryed yet again last night to convert it. Got to 66% this time but, I got this error:

fexp_close() failed:***Could not close the file <C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Atlantis - The Lost Empire\Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv>***
The handle is invaild.

[Windows error code: 0x6 6]

Also here is the log from DVD2SVCD:

Makes me wonder if the DIVX file might not be defective. Have you tried loading it into VirtualDub and checking for stream errors?

As I asked above, what codec have you installed on your system? The AVI you have was made with DivX3 and have you ticked in DVD2SVCD's Misc tab the "Convert DivX3 to DivX4......" option?

CCE does NOT crash or stop for no reason, and 90% of the time its a problem AVI's fault and the other 10% its hardware problems.

XVID XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
XVID XviD MPEG-4 Codec
MPEG1 MPEG Video Decoder
MPEG1 CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
MPG4 Mpeg4 Decoder
Cinepak Codec by Radius
DIVF DivX Codec 4.12
DIVX DivX Decoder Filter

I went to Gspot and I asked it what codecs had for video. In came up with lots of shit. But these are the only ones I could ID that I knew where the right ones. Also yes the divx3 to divx4 is ticked but its greyed out I dunno why.

Okay, thanks for that. The DivX3 to DivX4 is grey out becaue you dont have DivX3 codec installed. You have DivX4 installed, I suggest you install DivX 5.x as I find it handles DivX3 conversions a lot better than DivX4 does.

well there the basic and the pro on doom 9. The pro comes with extra stuff but also with adware. The basic is just the codec.

If you aren't going to use it for encoding, then there is no difference between the pro and basic.

FFVFW can also handle DIV3 and DIV4 if you want an alternative to DivX.

well I installed the Divx 5 Pro codec. Then Restarted DVD2SVCD and they were still greyed out. Yes after loading the file lol. It dosn't even show up on Gspot.

Err, no, you are decoding an AVI and encoding a SVCD. The encoding part has nothing to do with DivX.

When I say encoding, I mean encoding a file using DivX, such as DVD-->DivX AVI.

The DivX3 to DivX4 thing I would assume just changes the fourCC from DIV3 to DIVX to make sure that DivX4/5 decodes even if DivX3.11alpha is installed. If it isn't installed, the option would not be needed.
