avi file to dvd

i recently downloaded a avi file of swat dvd rip, then i burned the film to dvd r disc and when i tryed to play it on a dvd player it would not work this was my first time burning a dvd it still works on my pc but not on the dvd player can anyone help me???

if u downloaded the movie illegally, then we can't help u.

You need to convert it to dvd/mpeg2 file then author it before you can play it on your dvd standalone.
The downloaded file is probably warez so best I close the thread.
