What DivX Codec have you installed? Get 5.02 from _www.divx.com.
What error messages do you get? Also try stripping out the Audio first as a WAV file (see note in Tutorial) as this seams to be almost essential with most new AVI's now.
Load the avi file in VirtualDub, and then
Video > Direct stream copy
Audio > Full processing mode
Audio > Compression > No compression (PCM)
Audio > Conversion > 44100
and then File > Save Wav.
And now, you load your *.avi file in TMPGEnc as video source and your new *.wav file as audio source.
It works everytime for me, doing this way.
And when I want to convert a divx with AC3 audio, then, I have to use PX3convert or HeadAC to get my .wav file first.
Hope this will help.
