Suggest you install DivX codec 3.11, as Mal said, get it from _www.doom9.net

some of my divx movies cant be played with divx 3.11

you need to have the 3.11 codec & also the latest 5.x codec. Then you should be able to play all. Otherwise look for the nimod codec (incase someone used it instead, but would stay away from that & anything using it)
