Avast32 says it found a win32 trojan? Help!

Hello everyone,

I am hoping someone can help me diagnose this possible problem.

I have been running reghealer for a few days now(downloaded from this forum) I had no problems with this.

I just finished updating my xp pro to SP1 through windows update (this is a legal xp).

After I updated and my system rebooted avast32 now says it found a win32 trojan in c:/program files/reghealer/uninstall.exe

How could this be? Did SP1 do this or is maybe avast32 making a mistake?

Should I uninstall reghealer or should I just ignore?

I haven't heard anyone else having a virus problem with reghealer uninstall.

Thanks

I got that too...so I just deleted the uninstall app... and redownloaded the non-install version of reghealer...

I guess avest could produce a wrong alert..I will tell you once I get norton 2003 :)

trojan remove

can't you try to remove the trojan?

all kind of tool right here. use the search

here is one. Never used it so I can't say that it works, but it never hurts to try.

oh yea this is just a trial v. mayebe there is a serial or keygen for it somewhere?

I did an online system scan like pokopiko suggested. I used symantec online virus detector.

It scanned my whole harddrive and said NO virus found. I will now assume that avast32 is just being a little aggressive and all is well :) I hope this helps anyone running avast32.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!
