Bad move ...

I could very easily title this topic 101 Reasons NOT to leave Auto Run enabled but those that like it could care less if there is 10001 good reasons ...

There is a reason it sugest to turn Auto Run OFF ... Actually there are MANY reasons. Just as there are many ways to disable or re-enable the feature.

Tweakui has a setting in it for that. So does going into the properties of your CD-ROM ... Or you could even Opt for doing it with a .REG file trick.

If AUTORUN is enabled and you are trying to Copy CD to CD or even burning an ISO when that part of the Disk is read it can launch the CD/Program and as you can easily guess that would ruin the whole Burning session. Not to mention - Letting ANYTHING do ANYTHING "AUTO" is just a BAD idea in todays Virus littered weird wired web.

But if you insist on turning it on here is some help. Just double click these according to their name and AutoRun will be turned back on or for you smarter people there is a TURN AutoRun OFF Reg file as well.

thanks for the advice, i will follow it i leave it as it is, i will try to coup with the situation seeing from the Powerdesk 5 the cd drive doesn't refresh and keeps forever the previous cd name in the drive icon, some time i keep pressing f5 key to refresh it but never works and if i have to get rid of the previous name i have to go to mycomputer and from there refresh the drive and get the actual name and content displayed.
Once again thank you very much.
