Audiotools 4.30 Interim 3

Audiotools is a direct-to-disk recording tool with the facility to automatically split a recording into tracks. It can split a recording into separate tracks, either by silence detection or under manual control. Any recordings which are already on your hard-disk can be automatically split or "auditioned" to manually split them. This is considerably faster than a graphical approach and can be happily left unattended in "auto-track" mode.

Changes between versions 4.30 interim 2 and 4.30 interim 3

Some improvements have been made to the way the Namebase assigns names and tags to tracks.

The namebase tab now allows you to edit an existing entry by double-clicking it. In addition, when adding a new entry some fields will be filled in to save time.

Recent improvements for Waveform led to the soft-cue display being scrambled. This has now been fixed.

It is now possible to select the extreme left-hand edge of a waveform in the soft-cue/waveform view.

Audiotools now continues to redraw normally whilst generating peak files.

The scheduler can now be instructed to open a file or URL when starting a recording and close a window when finishing. This allows time recording from web radio stations or Real Audio streams.

ID3 tag reading has been added to the new MP3 decoder.

Protection has been added for resizeable windows to prevent them being relocated off-screen (e.g. by changing resolution).

The WMA support has been recompiled with Microsoft's latest libraries to ensure compatibility with Media Player 9
