AudioGrabber on XP

I got the message: Corrupted intalation Ver. detected when try to install Audio Grabber 1.8.1 on PC with XP Pro

On the another XP PC everything is O.K.
What is the problem!?

Try using soming else like WinDAC v1.52 or something similar... the file is either corrupt or your windows is playing up...

format is a solution, but it may not be the case...:D

Discovered the problem!!

Believe it or not but I found that the instasllation file must not be on the Desktop (Documents and Settings\User\Desktop ofcourse).
If you put it anywhere on the disk with simpler name (maybe is my name complicated becuse use the Croatian Code Page or Unicode Table) everything work fine!!

There is no software w/o bugs!

Drasko

Nice goin Drasko you worked it out yourself ;)
Still I'm not a xp fan yet but someting to bear in mind for other xp user's ...:)

Tanx for your feedback bro!

if you tweak xp too much and turn off multiple things, including the 8.3 file name creation for NTFS partitions, installs that are/or use 16b embedded apps will freak outout in long filename folders.

You can move the offending app to a shorter named folder but this doesn't always work. Always create at least 1 extra admin account that you leave as the standard install(no tweaking it now, NO TOUCHIE). then when this prob or some other overtweaked nusaince pops up you right click on the offending file, choose run as, select your fresh as a daisy never been tampered with extra admin account, type in pass and everything will work hunky dory :D
Installs like yahoo messanger, audiograbber, creative drivers....all use 16bit progam install either in part or in whole. Most annoying really
