I bought this week a new computer for musicproductions but got
random hickups when i play wavefiles in WinXP.
This never happend before with my very old Amd-K62 Win98SE system wich was much slower.
Does readahead cache has to do with it, or DMA setting?
System specs: Asus p4pe-x mainboard, Pentium 4 2666/533 Mhz, Maxtor 160GB 8MB cache,
Maxtor 30GB, 512MB DDR, Geforce FX5200 128MB, Creative Audigy 1 soundcard, DVD-Player, Philips CDRW5200 burner, WinXP Home.
