Normalizing Feature – In case many audio files include various volume levels, this normalizing feature enables the user to adjust volume levels to create files with a fixed volume level.
Amplify – The volume can be adjusted by a predetermined amount.
Adjust Silence – The length of silence at start and finish positions of a file can be automatically adjusted equally.
Fade – The volume can be gradually increased or decreased with this feature. Fade In makes the volume increase from the starting point, and Fade Out makes the volume decrease from the end point. The user can predefine the time value at both starting and finishing points for fading in or out.

Well, I went to download the free version a CNET (download.com), but the opinions were so mixed I didn't bother - looks like the free version is VERY crippled

"You can NOT record from internet..."
False advertising! The freeware version will not record from the internet. The help page clearly states this is not available in the free version.

It appears (though they really aren't specific enough) that the FULL version MIGHT be able to do soundcard data intercept (like Total Recorder), but the free version is limited to "What-U-Hear" loopback.

Plenty of box shots, BUT NOT ONE SCREENSHOT ... I've seen better freeware, better presented.
