Audio Identifier is an audio inspector. You can browse through your audio collection with it and it will show you useful information, like average bitrate, used encoder and settings, guessed quality etc.
It has Unicode support, the capability of exporting data as HTML and much, much more.
It supports many audio formats: MPEG Audio (mp3), MPEGplus (mpc), WAV (wav), TwinVQ (vqf), Ogg Vorbis (ogg), Windows Media Audio (wma), AAC (aac), Speex (spx), Monkey's Audio (ape), WavPack (wv), FLAC (flac),
TrueAudio (tta), OptimFROG (ofr), AC3 (ac3) and DTS (dts).

This is a nice neat proggy based on mr.question man but it getting ypdated so fast..
It is really good audio proggy and all people who download lots of mp3s should have this as it will accurately tell the quality of it,also it does supports other formats-see above, can read lame tags and guess the quality bu preset :)

Interesting to see how well it agrees with Mr Questionman

MP3 encoder prediction is not an exact science - some encoders do place their name and version in a way that is recoverable, but others have to be found by certain quirks in their encoding.
