Audio and Cdr's question

Hi there although i am aware of some differences in software..as well as burning speed (some say) what do guys think the variation of cdr's in terms of best music quality..(not concerned about PS games here!!).

People are usually happy with using one set of media they are happy with..i.e a friend only uses JVC or TDK Cdr's especially made for audio. I just use a set of white datasafe which cost me about 20p, before that i used verbatim...but because i was burning mp3's alot i just switched to a cheaper brand.

So are the Cdr's made for audio only better for burning than others? are these only really effective for home audio recorders and apply to us PC users too..

your opinions would be appreciated.

thanx

:)

No in my opinion, CDRs made for audio only are used for Audio burners cos they are made to write only those cdr (not always tho :) ) but there's no effect on audio quality. If your media is a GOOD media then you are OK (well you'll need good burner and software too ;) ). Using high quality cdr for audio is as well important for compatibility, I never had problems with my players but I have some friends that must burn on TDK to get their cd work on home Hi-fi. Again a good media will ensure durability ect..

Same problem here with my girlfriends new Samsung Home CD Player even if all CD testprograms says that it's 100% OK. My old Pioneer swallows all. Her doesn't "feel" that a Audio CD is loaded in the changer.
I understand that this has much to do with the quality of the media and I now wonder if there is any site or forum that at a regular basis makes tests of CD RW-media suitable for Audiorecording. Old brands goes away and new coming up.

Audio cdrs are for home audio recording systems only. ie not PC burners.
They will work at low speeds but are more expensive than normal cdrs and give u a high coaster output.
Samsung dvd players are notoriously picky with cdrs so I guess the samsung hifis could be the same.
Try a few cheaper brands as well as the more expensive ones.
Often unbranded media is the most compatable.
I have never had any complaints about quality or compatability from my many "friends" and I use a basic unbranded white top.

Don't know if there's a site like it but in my experience I still have to find a player which doesn't read correctly a good TDK. Of course there are many other good media.

Mhh..will let my friends know about TDK, tnx
I have never seen Mitsuis in stores where I live, bad luck :)
Might order online..
