at last im finally converting dvds to mpeg but....

im using easy vcd which is great and for free so not bad at all but my final mpeg has been about 850 meg so to big for a 700 meg cd obviously so all i wanna know is is there any way i can put these on a cd or is my only choice to maybe lower the quality of the video and frames per second. cheers

Most vcd's use 2 cd's. There are some choices though. When you make the mpeg you can change the bitrate and make it fit on one cd but, you lose video quality or you can set ezvcd to split the file for you or you can just get a file splitter or video editor and split it yourself.

If you can get the mpg down to about 813mb, it will fit on a (S)VCD because the video format uses no error checking as data CDs do. I find that about 813mb fits on a 700mb disk without overburning.

850MB's you could just use a 90min CDR. You could also try creating an XVCD by say dropping the audio bitrate, using VBR for video, etc. That way any ~90-100min movie should fit on one disc without too much of a drop in quality.
