ASPIENUM.VXD error

I'm running with Win98SE. I had this ff message everytime I turned my computer on:
"A device file that is specified in the System.INI file is damaged. It may be needed to run Windows. You may need to run the Window Setup program again. If the file is included in another software package, you may need to reinstall the software that uses the file. C:\WINDOWS\system\ASPIENUM.VXD Press any key to continue."
I could not explain why this happened. I only remembered my last session working with this PC was editing my digital photos using ulead photo express. I did not get any errors while working. I was just surprised that this error message keep on coming which is quite erritating.
Pls help me solve this problem & how to avoid it from happening again. Thanks in advance.

i downloaded aspi 4.70 here in cdrsoft & installed it on my PC.

when rebooted, I still get the aspienum.vxd error. I always have to press any key b4 I can go to windows menu.

Is there any other remedies to correct this?

yeah 4.7 sucks ! Had many problems with it, so back to 4.6

I just realized that not all newer versions of the same software is better than the old ones.....
