ARTEC 52x24x52 & NTI CD Maker 6 Platinum

Hi there,
i recently bought the above burner but it will not work with NTI, i get error message saying no compatable drive. I have checked the NTI website and my model of burner is listed as supported but i cannot get it to work. I have reinstalled the software but get the same problem.
I have swapped back to my old AOEN 40x12x48 drive and all is fine again. The new drive works sweet in Nero 5.5.10.15:confused:
Any ideas out there?
Thanks in advance. :D

Hi warby111 mayB this is an error on NTI part of having your buner as supported these things happen. Also I just check the homepage for your drive and No firmware updates for it...
So it looks like Ahead wins once more.
Or what you could do is look onto NTI homepage and see if they have a update driver package. Don't worry just checked and this is taken from their homepage.

Update your CD-Maker Professional and Backup Now! for the latest drive support with the new Drive Support Database, Cdrw32.bdb

Warning: This file is only for CD-Maker Professional V5.1.1 or later & Backup Now! V2.2.33 or later.

Cdrw32.bdb - New Drive Support Database
NewDrives.txt - Added drives support list
Readme.txt- Current drive support list.
The following is installation instructions for CD-Maker Professional. For Backup Now, the instructions are the same, however, you will install it in the NTI Backup Now directory, rather than the NTI CD-Maker directory.

To install, please copy the "cdrw32.bdb" file use Windows Explorer or My Computer to copy the database file into the main folder for CD-Maker 2000 Professional. If you installed our software in a different directory then you will need to copy the file into your alternate location.
Example where database file is located:
C:\Program Files\NewTech Infosystems\NTI CD-Maker 2000 Professional

You can also use the find feature in Windows to find the exact location of the database file. Click "Start", the "Search", then "for Files and Folder", then type in cdrw32.bdb and click "Search Now". After it finds the file then you can read under the "In Folder" heading for the correct path where the database file is located. Use Windows Explorer or My computer to copy the database file into this location.

NOTE:
(1) It works only on full retail versions of NTI software
(2) For CD-Maker, it works for Version 5.1.1 or later.
(3) For NTI Backup Now, it works for Version 2.2.33 or later.

driver database NTI
