According to the company, the 16x AOpen Dual Mode / Double Layer (DL) DVD burner will be a 100% AOpen design and production, with samples of the pilot run being available in the first week of July and mass production starting mid July. More information will be available soon.

heheh yeah great when the DL media starts filtering through it may be worth gettin one lol :)

my puter store has sony DL's in but no media !? lol :)

Have a hard time believing there will be media to support 16X. Also it's amazing the way the prices have been dropping lately. Would have expected prices on DL burners to be much higher than they are. Waiting to see some testing on compatability with DL also.
