Any way to make output size from IC8 more accurate?

Hi,
First of all......> Cool forum with lots of great info and members.

OK,
Been using ICHSE for a while now with ic7 but i'm now on CD/DVD V8 now.
No problems at all (touch wood) apart from the old prob as in IC7 - File output size.

Can anyone give me any links or tips on how to set the two progs up so that the final output will utilise better disc space.

Thanks ;)

Thanks, but I'm already using 1.4.2 and I read the guide at mr bass when i first started using IC, but its still out on file size, usually upto 300mb.

Should i use default settings on ichse or should they be changed. If so, to what?

Cheers

I use the recommended settings .
And then i have changed the dvddestsize and the dvddestdisplaysize to 4715mb(4.6gb)
You have to play with them first time i changed it to far ,so it was to big.

Know i get these results if i do a movie, the output size is 4,28 GB (4.598.243.685 bytes) So i dont use 100mb
This i do because sometimes the media is bad at the end.

Where would you find the settings for dvddestsize and dvddestdisplaysize? Are they in ICHSE 1.4.3?

This is only because of a major bug in IC8, when it works right it wont be beat !!
(CCE excluded)

Nero Recode & DVDShrink are basically the same program !

Hmm. Changing those settings doesnt do anything for me. Still around 300MB undersize. What bug are you talking about spider?

If you just want to rip movie only, re-author it with dvdshrink (with no compression),
back it up to you HD so you have movie only with no compression.

Then run it through Instant Copy to shrink it to a DVD-r , you will probably find that it will use the whole disk rather than 300+ meg to spare when you originaly tried.
