another... divx => svcd problem

Hi! Chickenman,

Please help me out on this one please...

I just downloaded a very newish movie using kazzalite and have been using your excellent divx to svcd tutorial for a while now.
However, I seem to have a problem converting this movie (catch me if you can -cd2)

The problem is that the avi file plays fine with audio and lips sync ok, but once its converted to svcd using ur tutorial there seems to be NO sound at all half way through the last cd.

Picture is fine like, but there is no sound whatsoever after like 10-15mins into the second disc!

Any 1 have this similar problem b 4?

Any solutions to this problem would be appreciated!

Oh! one more thing - is it worth using Nero's SVCD plugin to convert Divxs movies to SVCD - as an alternative to CCE?

I tried it before and it was okay (quality wise), but it definitely took alot longer IMO

If the audio has a small glitch in it, sometimes DVD2SVCD does not extract it fully (stops at the problem). Load the AVI into VitualDUB. Use Nanbub if it complains about the audio being VBR. Set audio to Full Processing Mode and in File, hit Save WAV... Then use TooLame or BeSweet to convert the WAV to MP2 format. Rename the new mp2 file to Encoded_Audio_1.mp2 and copy to the folder DVBD2SVCD was using and then run DVD2SVCD and select Recover (in Misc tab) and select "Muxing and Cutting". It will then mux in the new audio file and create a new mpg/bin file for ya.

The SVCD pluggin for Nero produces substantially crappy SVCD's, stay with CCE for best quality.
