Alternative to PrimoDVD?

Hi guys,

i'm new to this backup lark, so help is appreciated. I was using DVD shrink 2 to encode my dilms and PrimdDVD to burn them. However, my burner packed up, and on replacing it with a LITE-ON Dual Format writer, i found that Primo doesn't recognise it!! Is there anywhere i can get an update to Primo, or is there an alternative burning program that is compatible to DVD Shrink?

RecordNowMax or DX 4.5/4.6, which is a newer and more feature rich version of PrimoDVD. Avoid newer RecordNow versions (6.X-7.X).
Latest burner update is back to August (version 1.08.34a), from Sonic site (you have to register, you just need to pass your email address, no more info required). Or you can find it from filemirrors.com
New PXengine updates are useful for Sony and LiteOn drives- only, it seems that for some obscure reason Sonic doesn't care supporting other hardware...

Or as you are using DVD Shrink v2 - Update to the vastly superior 3.2 and simply use the .iso output option and then burn with the FREE DVD Decrypter.

As scarecrow said, sadly Sonic have screwed up RNM and it will never be the same again. I also use TMPGEnc DVD Author if I have to burn a VIDEO_TS folder and of course you get all the author/menu options that tool brings with it too.
