hi
although ive been backing up dvds for a while, im new to dvd stripper.
i went through a few guides and stuff but i still have a question.

i have already got a movie ripped to my hd using dvd decrypter that is withough dvd stripper
how do i now open my already decrypted movie in stripper?
also am i right in presuming that Stripper can remove extras but keep original menu functionality?

i am using DVDstripper 0.3.0, decrypter 3.1.9.0 and ifoedit 0.96

thanks

As far as I know. when you start up DS - in the "Job Setup" lines... you have to point to the "Temporary Path" folder where you have ripped the files to with Decrypter.

Yep, that you can. You can do pretty much anything you want to with DS! :D

I tried using temporary path to point to the place i stored the previously decrypted files, however when i click "Next" button on DS, the screen comes up, but without any files.

Are you able to rip the DVD again with DS 030?
I haven't ripped a DVD from Decrypter and tryed loading it from DS. But if I'm not mistaken.... DS tells Decrypter to rip the files in another way than the basic rip options of Decrypter. When you rip with Decrypter in a standard way. It keeps the files the same as on the dvd. Where DS tells Decrypter to rip them by titles and chapters and renames the files so that DS can read them... (somethin like that). :p So my guess is you have the basic/ standard rip from decrypter. You'll need to rip it using DS next time if you want to edit the DVD with DS.:D

Good luck!

DS can only works with files on a DVD and not on the hard disk (DVD Decrypter in file mode).

One way round it is to use Daemon tools or Nero imagedrive. This will create an image of the decrypted files and mount them in a virtual DVD ROM drive. Then use DS to work with the virtual DVD Rom drive. It will then put the files on the computer in its own format (which is different to what DVD Decrypter does).
