"Alexa" found by ad-aware?

I just finished running ad-aware and the only thing it found was something in the registery called "Alexa" which it says is an extension of internet explorer. Can I get rid of this or do I need this? Thanks!

I had this and i was'nt sure what to do, so i just used the back up feature and then removed the alexa .

Two weeks have passed and no probs. on my pc

Yep...get rid of it!It is installed with XP,by default.XP antispy deletes it for those using XP.

Go with Woody's advice on this one. Best solution to get rid of
Alexa. Version 3.61 is the latest.

Well, I think M$ actually bundled Alexa with IE6. But I can't seems to find Alexa visible in the IE toolbars. Anyways, I removed it. First, I think it was an Ad-Aware mistake

I found it in win me ie5.5
used adaware toget rid of it no problems.

It comes with Win2K SP3 too. Get rid of it, use XP/2K antispy or obey Ad-Aware, they know what they doing.
