Alcolhol 1.3.6.1223 out. Any good?

I have been trying out 1.3.5.112 for over a week now and I must say I am impressed!
Made a backup of Battlefield 1942 (SafeDisc v2.60.052), 007 Nightfire (SafeDisc v2.80.010), MOHAA-Spearhead (also SafeDisc v2.80.010) with a LiteOn 401248S and they all work flawlessly.
It can even emulate Unreal Tournament 2003: SecuROM v4.83.xx (although v2166 update is blacklisted for the moment).
If only they can figure out how to copy latest SecuRom (without emulation) then this proggie then I would be sold. Seems like a lot of new games are going with SecuRom...so I'm sure AlcoholSoft is working overtime. Hey Netman you are the expert here...any good word?!
Still an excellent product that has surpassed CloneCD as the best Cloning software! Give the 30 day demo a shot!

Just like CloneCD, Alcohol has profiles that can be selected from a pull down menu. I used the "SafeDisc 2" setting for all of the SafeDisc games above. There are about 18 setting ranging from Audio to Playstation to customize... so they seem to have covered their bases.RASTABT said:Any special settings need?
I just used the "Image Making Wizard" when making all the images and the "Burning Wizard" to create them. Simple, easy to follow, and it works.
New Alcohol release (1.3.6.1223) can burn SecuROM 4.8x protected titles, but uses RPMS emulation. It's not possible to make working copies without emulation, except with the TwinPeak's method (already blacklisted on the latest patches).dxkim said:

Securom 4.8x is a though 1 for every copier......BlindWrite added a sort of emulation option in their latest version too,probably because they expect their BWA builder function to be blacklisted in the near future.......

yes, rpms is a great leap forward. it may one day turn into an automated twinpeak function but one step at a time.virtual_web said:
build 1223 is very stable and most of the previously-known minor bugs have been eliminated. keep in mind that the premastering module and the vcd modules are currently in beta. plans also include an audio module with pure dao and conversion and burning of audio cds from mp3 and other sources. these modules will be available as plugins and will of course be free of charge to registered users. they will probably not be included in the trial version.
Im very impressed with all of its features...each day I discover something new about the app. I got it for a Christmas gift, a Merry Christmas indeed...!
Excellent program, no comparison to any other that I have used. Not to mention the lifetime of free updates for registered users. That alone is worth the purchase and much more than I can say about other apps...

I have only just started using this as I rarely do 1:1 copies.
To date, I've only used it for Medal of Honour and the Spearhead add-on. I tested the game via Emulation and then using the backed up disks without any issues.
Very easy to use and does exactly what it says it does - CloneCD has been surpased as the number one 1:1 disk copier.
