Alcohol 120 and PS2 DVD-r backups

hi,

I know that in order to play ps2 backups a mod chip is required but is it required with Alcohol 120% since it has the option of duplicating the PS2 copy protection. So with this software do i need a mod chip?

For reference I have a sony DRU-U500AX

Yep, you will still need a modchip.
