Aida32 diagnostic - R.I.P. 24 Mar 2004

http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php

Only a couple of weeks ago, I was recommending this, well, 3.93 is available for download - not sure if it is going away, or only the development that is over.

I prefer this one to any,... Sandra, Belarc, all the rest.

Sad, I wonder if it gould go forward as a community project, at least to enable hardware database updates.

The Forum is getting "interesting" there....

Located a 3.93.5 preview, and then a 3.94.2 absolute last preview

There appear to be plans to keep the website up for a couple of months.

No, the source code will NOT be licenced, sold or made public, though any threads noting the similarity to this:

get rapidly denied and closed. The free version basically looks like a somewhat crippled version of Aida32 - if the guy sold out to them, he should just come clean and admit it - we know most projects get hardly any donations ... just look at the ratio of TAKERS to DONATORS for DVDSTRIPPER!

Lavalys today unveiled EVEREST Home Edition, a freeware system information, system diagnostics and benchmarking solution for home PC users.

And the two events are totally unrelated ???????
Pull the other one!!!!

More evidence

Lavalys is a privately held company that is headquartered in Montreal (Canada) with sales and R&D offices in Hungary and Italy.

I would not call Hungary a natural place for a Canadian company to have a R&D office, though of course, it IS the home of Aida32.

So, goodbye Aida32, hello Lavalys Everest?

I could be even more paranoid...
Aida32 3.93
Everest 1.00.93

And the style, they sure as hell look like twins.
