WHAT THE F...?

I reinstalled windows for the zillionth time two days ago and didn't make a backup yet, because it always takes a few days to get everything back to normal again. For example I forgot to update ad-aware ( and spybotsd) until I read this thread. Before running ad-aware I changed the settings for both programs. After running ad-ware (it didn't find anything), spybotsd can't be run anymore. It closes almost immediately. The same problem occurs with another program that never had any problems in the past.Surely it can'be right, but it looks like ad-aware messed something up.
What now? Format c:?
