Acronis OS Selector

Did you already have the three OS's installed before installing this product? If not in what order did you do the installs?

I have a PC with Win98SE on a 20GB FAT partition on a 20GB HD set as C: the Master drive on the primary controller. I have a 40GB HD I want to connect as the slave drive on the primary controller cable. I want to split that 40 GB HD up into 3-4 partitions so I can install WinME, WinXP Pro, and Win2000 Advanced Server.

This PC is to be used as "test environment" to test software and to provide support on OS's I've installed for people who I've built PCs for. So no mission critical stuff. I also want to use it to set up a test server on my home network that already has 4 PCs on it.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Acronis is the bomb when it comes to puting OS's where you want - the order doesn't matter.

I have installed on Laptop with Win95, Win95OSR2, Win98, Win2k and also Dos 6.22 (all because dongles don't work too well in Windoze........sometimes)

However, for your support of multiple pgms and os's, have you considered using VMWare?

I'm in a similar position to you, and got sick of swaping disks in and out of my machine - not to mention any hardware detection issues etc..... started using VMWare and most of my concerns have gone away.

I've also kept an IDE port spare with a really long IDE cable on it for those times when I need to 'rescue' a customer's disk.

not a bad proggie.Has a better UI than system commander and i 'm even using it now & thus dropped system commander.
however i find it less flexible than system commander
