Ac3 plugin

Hi
Does anyone know if theres ac3 plugin for cooledit pro please?
if not what would be the best software to go from ac3 to wave and then wave back to Ac3 and still keeping 5.1 audio.

Not heard of one. You could use BeSweet to create a 5.1Aif then encode that with whatever AC3 encoder you like.

Also if you want a more detailed app then check nuendo from Steinberg, but it could be a little pricey.

You could use Vegas 4. Although that's a video editor, it handles AC3 5.1 sound and has a good set of sound editing tools.

What i am wanting to do is to ripp one of my dvd music dvds take the ac3 and
enhance the sound etc im keen to use cool edit as i am used to this software
as i understand if i go from ac3 to wave with besweet it will be 2ch so any ideas
on how to keep my 5.1 ?
Im have a look at Nuende looks nice

but besweets better priced hahahaha
but if this is easyer to do with other software ill get it.

AC3 to wav with BeSweet it will still be 5.1 (if you want it to be), it will just be 2gig max, which is why I suggested aif. If you want a wav, then try HeadAC3e.

So the .aff has no size limit ? ill have to cheak if cool edit works with .aff

Well wav doesn't either, just a besweet bug I believe.

CoolEdit/Audition handles aif just fine.. Not sure if I have ever tried a 6ch one though.
