Abtrusion Protector 1.1

Abtrusion Protector is a security software for the Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP series of operating systems. It prevents Windows from loading unrecognized or unknown software. Only software that has been safely installed or is explicitly allowed can be loaded into memory. Contrary to typical anti-virus scanners, Abtrusion Protector is not dependent on frequent virus definition updates.

What Abtrusion Protector protects

Abtrusion Protector provides very good protection against most types of viruses, as well as against hacker tools that are downloaded to your computer by hackers trying to break in.

How Abtrusion Protector works

Abtrusion Protector maintains a database of digital thumbprints of all the software that is installed or allowed on your computer. Whenever Windows tries to run a program or another executable file, Abtrusion Protector first checks that the thumbprint is in the database. If the it is not found, Windows is not allowed to load the file into memory
