After trying to get a Hollywood+ to work with DVDMaestro I realised that I would need to get a Netstream 2000 card to preview my DVDs in Maestro.
Fear not this card is available on Ebay very cheaply and if you shop around I expect you could get one for a similar price to the Hollywood+
(Mine cost me $10
after shipping to the UK and other imoprt costs it cost me £30 )
This is a much better card as it supports DirectShow and not only works with Maestro & Scenarist but can also be used by Windows Media Player to display your DVDs with full hardware assistance
Eventhough it uses a slightly different version of DVD Station, Zone Selector and DVD Region Killer will also work and I cannot recommend anyone looking for a hardware DVD card to shop around Ebay for an amazing bargain.
The only problem I have found is that even with a clean installation of Windows XP Pro I have to un-install and re-install the Netsream 2000 drivers after XP boots, hopefully this will be adressed in a future update to the drivers.
