What kind of an assh*le is that? When you're an elected senator you are suppose to fight for the rights of the people who elected you, not for major firms who wants to invade the peoples privacy and tell me what to do with something i bought, which is MINE! the Music industry and several other companies have a most stupid copyright and licence policy.
1.
We've got 3 computers at my home, damn not if I would buy 3 winxp licences. When xp was released in Norway it's askingprice was equal to 550$. Goddamn! That means I would have to throw away 'bout 1650$. And for that I wouldn't even own the software, just be allowed to use it, strictly within M*crosofts boundries.
2.
When I buy music I always use it in my computer cd-rom.. 'cause I've connected my PC to the reciever, instead of having a cd-player. This means that I ALWAYS rip my CDs to MP3, does this make me a criminal? Now! If I was to obey the music industry I would have to buy a cd-player, which I don't need nor do I want it. And if I was really unluck the CDs wouln't even be playable on the brand new cd-player. If the music industry stopped wasting money on trying to protect their CDs they would save a lot of money, 'cause they will NEVER come up with a protection technology that can't be cracked !

Soon they (the bad guys) will probably demand administrator rights to your computer by remote desktop, so they could control every click you make to check that it don't violate their sovereign rights as owner of this worlds software and music. You are only allowed to use it if you use it the "right" way. If you should ever want to listen to your costly music on your PC, you are considered 'bad', and so they will blow up all of your digital equipment and throw you back to the stoneage.
It's like selling your soul to the devil
