A lil' help if you please.......

Ok, first off I did a search here to no avail, as well on Google.

Heres my plight - Is it possible to take a dvd-r and make a xvid, svcd, or even divx copy from it? I know it can be done the other way around, but all searches bring up the reverse of what Id like to do, any help would be most appreciated! Thx.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

DVD2SVCD is freeware and works fantastic. You can use with it either TMPGenc (free version) or CCE ( cost involved but excellent results). Get it from www.dvd2svcd.org then check out the Tutorial section on the DVD to SVCD Tute on how to use it.
SVCD Softwares

The question was though - can I turn a already burned dvd-r into one of the other formats? Im not being rude, but am trying to be clear on this issue, thx for your replies!

All a dvd-r is a dvd5 so the answer to your question is yes.:)

Yep, no different than converting any other DVD. For an XviD AVI you might want to check out AutoGKNot. About as easy as you can get.

The question wasnt that I missed those links, but rather was looking for info on converting dvd-r's. I didnt know if using a dvd rip wouuld work in the same manner as using my original dvd. I did use auto gk to make the xvid, and it worked fine, so case closed I suppose. :D
