A Good Photo Slideshow maker ??

Hi All,

Wanted input on a good software which can make photo excecutables/photo vcd's/photo svcd's along with music in the background. The software should adjust the slideshow according to the length of the music.

I have found the photodex proshow is very good in this. I have used a trial version of this which works only for a month. Any input on freeware and legal software is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sandy

No exe

Thanks LTR1201B for the link to the HP software. I downloaded and installed it. I think it will work good for a complete vcd photo creation but does not allow to create exe files by which I can create multiple independant photo presentations allowing the user to view only that particular presentaion. Is there any software which allows that?

Thanks.

Slideshow Movie maker - promising, but that makes a video clip - but no sound I guess I'm remembering a 2-stage process where tha sound was mixed in later.

Now there has to be a good freeware slideshow with music - plenty without ... good old IrfanView does them without. Somebody said it CAN do them with music, a new feature, perhaps?

Still looking - I'm sure there was a really good one, but my bookmarks are a disorganized jumble!

MyAlbum - can do slideshows with music, and they can be made to run from CD, but not as a standalone EXE ... the program goes with them, but does not require installation.

Are you looking particularly for a standalone EXE?

Got a few more resources to trawl, as this is not the one I'm trying to remember.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, I am looking at a software which makes a standalone exe file which shows a photo slideshow and adjusts the music according to the number of slides. That feature is a really thoughtful one seen in Photodex Proshow and Photodex ProshowGold. I haven't seen it in even the trial versions of the expensive software.

I have tried the Slideshow maker software before. It is not as easy to work around. Yes, it has background music but you will have to work around the slides and adjust the slide timing to coordinate it with the music which is a pain while handling several photos.
